Following our engagement in 2019 we were excited to start planning our wedding. While we did submit a few different online queries the only hotel we actually visited in person was The Kingsley. We had originally planned to visit more but after meeting Charley the events coordinator at a Wedding Fair we didn’t need to.
Everything was first class from the beginning and we knew we were in safe hands. We were served a lovely afternoon tea style selection and were sent home with the leftovers and a bag full of vouchers, magazines and information on weddings at the Kingsley.
Our wedding wasn’t straightforward with a year long delay due to Covid but in the end we could not be more happy with how it went. The food was beautiful and we received so many compliments on it. We didn’t need to ask for anything on the day as the staff were so attentive.
Charley took the pressure off us but on the day and in the lead up by taking our personal items and decorating the space for us so we could focus on getting ready for the day.
We would highly recommend The Kingsley for a Wedding as the setting by the river is really nice and the function room and room for the drinks reception are perfect for a wedding, you won’t regret having your wedding there, we certainly didn’t.
I would highly recommend The Kingsley for anyone who is getting married. Myself and my husband had both our ceremony and reception at the hotel. All the staff and team were a dream and went above and beyond for us especially Charley who looked after us from the moment we walked through the door, both in the lead up to and the day itself.
After viewing the hotel and meeting with Charley there was no contest that this was the place for us to celebrate, from the food to the service it all exceeded our expectations.

"From the minute we met Charley, our amazing wedding co-ordinator, we knew The Kingsley was the right venue for us.
We had planned to get married in Las Vegas in October 2021 but due to Covid we had to make last minute plans to get married in Ireland. Charley helped us through the entire process, even when neither of us knew how our wedding day would look like over Covid restrictions. Charley always promised we would have an amazing day and that is exactly what we had. She was the easiest person to work with, always answered all our questions (I had lots!), set up the room exactly how I pictured and just always made sure we never had to worry about anything but having an amazing day! We had the best day possible, it was absolutely perfect. The food was incredible, the staff are the nicest people and made the atmosphere so special. "The Kingsley has always been a special place for my husband and I. We always had enjoyed the Spa facilities, not to mention the lovely food, beautiful location and very welcoming staff.
Like many couples we had difficulty planning out wedding during a pandemic. We needed to make a decision to bring the wedding close to home. Our first thoughts was to contact the Kingsley. We were so very fortunate that they could accommodate our wedding within a few months notice. Charley, our wedding coordinator was so wonderful to work with as she was able to give us a full plan from start to finish of what our special day was going to be like. It was a great relief to us as we could finally visualise our wedding day after so many months of difficulties. We knew from start to finish, what was on offer and where everything would take place. We knew that we did not need to hesitate to contact Charley if we had queries or ideas. We stayed in the penthouse night before and the night of the wedding. It really added to our experience as we had never seen anything like it before, it's absolutely huge and has some of the most spectacular views. We would highly recommend couples to stay there. We felt like celebrities. If there was anything that we needed during our stay, the staff at the front desk were always helpful, Rodney in particular as we had dealt with him alot. Charley was there to meet us on the wedding day before the ceremony and she was there to over see the day along with her fabulous colleague Eoin, he took great care of us during the reception. The way in which the ceremony room reception room was done up for our ceremony, showed us that our special day was cared about and that the hotel wanted to make it as perfect as possible. Our food was divine. We had amazing options to choose from while planning our menu and we were delighted on the day with what we chose. The space for our reception room was fantastic. It was well ventilated, everyone was space and we had access to outside by the river which helped to keep everyone comfortable given the current pandemic. We are so grateful that the hotel had our comfort and safety as a main priority. We are truly delighted that we picked the Kingsley to hold our wedding day. We appreciate all the staff that helped to make it perfect."
"We would like to say a huge thanks to Fiona, Charley and all the staff from The Kingsley.
We were originally due to get married in Rome in August 2020 and were planning to host a BBQ reception at The Kingsley for the people who couldn’t make it to Rome. When we decided to cancel the ceremony in Rome, they allowed us to repurpose the booking and create a wedding day that was bespoke, intimate and perfect for us. They worked very closely with us to create the perfect day. Due to their close connections with the Irish Hotel Federation, they were always up to speed with the latest Government guidelines and thankfully, we were never in a situation where we had to roll back guest invitations like some people in a similar situation! We had 42 guests in total and everyone commented on the food (which was exceptional), the venue which was beautifully laid out and the staff which were beyond professional, friendly and very relaxed. Everyone felt safe and the adherence to the restrictions was done in a friendly manner. We had a fantastic day and a lot of it came down to how The Kingsley and their staff approached the day."
"We knew The Kingsley was the Hotel for Wedding the moment we walked through the door. Every staff member were so helpful, friendly and made us feel so welcome. It was an easy decision to say yes to The Kingsley.
The hotel is very impressive both on the outside but also on the inside. All of our guests still compliment the hotel and its facilities, locality but mainly its overall charm. Charley was our Wedding Co-Ordinator and from first meeting her we knew we were in safe hands. She is very friendly, down to earth and listened to our ideas and dreams about how our Wedding Day would plan out. She was at the other end of phone or an email to answer any queries we had. She played a great role on the day and made our day run very smoothly. Also we were taken up to the Penthouse before our arrival into our reception which allowed us to spend some time together which was very special to us. The Penthouse is out of this world and amazing. Also the view was so amazing and was beautiful for us to look out on whilst taking photos. It was so nice to have the luxury of it and feel like a celebrity for the night. The food we received for our wedding was superb and of very high quality. The food came out so impressively and was served to our guests in an excellent manner which we had never seen before at a Wedding. Everyone was eating at the same time. All our awkward food requests were accommodated without hesitation. The staff members at The Kingsley are excellent at their jobs. They make you feel very welcome every time you see them. We cannot thank Darren enough for all his help as our waiter on our wedding day. He went above and beyond to ensure that us and members of our Bridal Party were taken care of throughout the meal. Irene was our waitress for our Food Tasting and likewise she went above and beyond to accommodate both us and our family members."
